Ben Salter, Leah Senior

Ben Salter is coming to perform at Music On The Hill for the first time this May. A seasoned campaigner, Salter has been relentlessly touring both around Australia and abroad for the best part of ten years. As well as releasing two critically acclaimed solo albums, Salter is a founding member of Giants of Science, The Gin Club and the ARIA Award nominated Wilson Pickers, and has collaborated with Gareth Liddiard, Mick Thomas and Tim Rogers, amongst many others. Don’t miss his intimate solo performance at Music On The Hill, Friday the 6th of May.

Ben will be supported by young Melbourne based songstress Leah Senior. Leah grew up in the country listening to her mother singing arias whilst blasting rock and roll from her bedroom. Her music now falls between these worlds with elegant lyrical prose and a distinctive dusky, rain slicked tone reaching back to the coffee houses of 1960s Britain. Her debut album “Summer’s On The Ground” was released late last year to critical acclaim, Rolling Stone giving it four stars saying “This is insular and intimate music, akin to eavesdropping on someone else’s private, prettily conveyed thoughts.”

Doors open 7pm. Tasty food, local wines and beer available. Tickets available here.
