The EUROGLIDERS story begins in 1981, in Perth, Australia……the most isolated city in the world.
Within a decade of forming, EUROGLIDERS had recorded four albums, enjoyed a multitude of chart topping singles and been awarded a swag of awards from around the globe, for both music and video. But EUROGLIDERS truly began as a love story between a songwriter and a singer, both of whom had their own bands.
Today, some 25 years later, the relationship between that singer and that songwriter may have changed but the love of performing and their long enduring friendship continues every night on stage.
One of Australia’s hottest bands, THE CHANTOOZIES, began touring Australia in the late 80’s, appearing on every imaginable entertainment programme in the country.
Originally formed for only a one of show and after an overwhelming response gained their first residency at the renowned “Underground” Nightclub.
They have since gone on to sell over 300,000 records, going Platinum and Gold.
The band found management with ex Australian Crawl Member Brad Robinson, a record deal followed with Mushroom Records and Peter Faiman of Crocodile Dundee fame directed Their first film clip ‘Witch Queen of New Orleans’.
The Chantoozies toured Australia extensively with their first and Second albums. They achieved great success with their Original material… ‘Wanna Be Up’, ‘Kiss And Tell’, ‘Walk On’ And covers of ‘Witch Queen’, ‘He’s Gonna Step On You’, ‘Love The One Your With’ and ‘I’ll Be There’; all top 20 hits, and Reaching platinum and gold sales.
