It’s a clash of the titans at The RockStar Bar on Saturday JUNE 25. Tributes for two of the world’s most popular bands are coming to town!
BackBeat is a tribute show dedicated to the Cavern, Hamburg, Decca and Live at the BBC era of The Beatles.
Long before the Beatles took the world by storm in 1964 they were serving their musical apprenticeship in the seedy all night clubs of Hamburg Germany and the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool. It was pure rock and roll!
John Lennon has been quoted as saying: “A lot of our best stuff was never recorded” and that “The best music we played was in and around the clubs of Liverpool and Hamburg”
BackBeat is a band that captures the sound and raw energy of the Hamburg/Cavern era.
The band consists of 4 mad Beatle people who like to share with the audience their passion for a largely unheard part of Beatle history (unless you were there of course!).
Creedence Clearwater Revival released an astonishing five top ten albums in 2 years. Not even the Fab Four from Liverpool had that impact in such an extraordinarily short period of time!
Around the globe, four young men had their stripped back roots rock dripping out of AM radios everywhere.
John Fogerty, the master songsmith, manipulated the human psyche into believing he actually came from the very swamps and deep southern landscape he sang about. These were no frothy pop songs though, these were songs about the working class. They were sung with fire and a passion that resonated with a young population that was searching for a relevant post acid tripping, love generation voice.
This is the very essence that makes CREEDENCE CLEARWATER SURVIVAL Australia’s premier CCR and John Fogerty tribute show. With attention to detail, both instrumental and visual, the four members of “CREEDENCE CLEARWATER SURVIVAL will have audiences re-living a real CCR/Fogerty show. A show that is energetic, dynamic, and perfect for today’s audiences.
